I almost always, when available, refer to buyers reviews before making an on-line purchase so, after the inevitable 24hr life expectancy of the earphones shipped with the i-phone, I set off hunting for a quality replacement. As I use them in-car, they needed to have an in-line mic to reduce ambient noise during calls. Top of the shopping list would be Sennheiser, can't fault their kit, but after so many rave reviews about Skullcandy for the price they seemed a good bet. WRONG.....if you are partially deaf, can't detect a decent bass or treble tone or have Kevlar ear canals then these kiddies are for you. I'm no sound engineer but the quality is attrocious, more akin to the shipped items with a basic Nokia mobile. As for comfort, after only a hours the inside of my ears were raw. I make no apologies in rating these as crap. I have since (only 4 days later) been back onto Amazon & purchased 2 sets of Sennheiser's MM50iP'S. BRILLIANT !!!
