2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing End, 7 April 2012
This review is from: Phantom: A Harry Hole thriller (Oslo Sequence 7) (Kindle Edition)
I have read all of Jo Nesbo's previous books in English, and enjoyed them all immensely. In this book Harry Hole dies towards the end of the story, but by the time I got to his death, I could not have cared, neither it seems could Mr Nesbo. Perhaps the author was pressured to write this last Harry Hole book, it is not up to his usual standard. I cannot understand anyone giving this book 5 stars.

To Richard Comrie

What a shame you saw fit to spoil the end for so many people. How inconsiderate.

What was your intention in posting this review? Why spoil the enjoyment of reading the last of the series by disclosing Harry's death. How very inconsiderate of you. And how irresponsible of Amazon to display it.

Couldn't agree more. It is beyond me to understand how anyone can provide a so called review which just spoils the story for everyone else by revealing a critical element of the story. I have enjoyed the whole series of Harry Hole books but now will not be buying this one because I now know how it ends. Maybe next time you feel an urge to print a spoiler you'll think a bit more of others.

I cannot believe you have decided to inform people who haven't read it (me included) of the ending. You should be banned from posting on Amazon and hunted down like a dog. In fact, I am hiring a Private Detective to do just that...

Sir, you clearly are an idiot without any consideration for other people or simply need to grow up. Shame on Amazon for allowing something like this.

If you were intent on leaving this review could you not have flagged it as 'contains Spoiler'; Or was it your intention to spoil this for those of us yet to read it? Either way it was thoughtless. You could have reviewed the book by telling us what you disliked about it without resorting to ruining the story. I sincerely hope you do not feel the urge to write any more reviews in the future.

Spoiler spoiler:

Hole is still alive at the end of the book, that's specifically stated if you read carefully.
Again if the original reviewer was paying attention he might realise why.
I won't say too much as I wouldn't want to spoil anyone's enjoyment.but this reviewer is wrong, the last we hear of Hole in this book he is most definitely not dead.

I recently mailed Amazon about "spoilers" being left in reviews. They told me that they get too many to do much else than scan quickly so sometimes miss them. However if site users click on the "report abuse" button to report a spoiler they'll check it and remove if nescessary on that basis.

Why have you published a review with a spoiler? Now I will not read the book.
Thanks a million!
