This is one of those gems that every busy teacher can own and dip into whenever inspiration is needed. These 100 ideas from the pen of an experienced school leader and passionate CPD enthusiast, can provide practical help in tuning up one's performance as a teacher. It's the little things that matter - and the author has itemised all those things that can keep a class on the edge of their seats and ensure a great response from learners. There are big ideas here too. The '5 Minute Lesson plan' is a stroke of genius, as is 'Bloom's Post it' suggestion. I thought it was such an inspiring book I bought ten copies to drop off in schools where I am working as a consultant/trainer. This book is the modern day, Twitter-savy equivalent of Michael Marland's 'Craft of the Classroom', and there is much here to offer refreshment to anyone who has made that difficult job of teaching into their chosen career.
