This review is from: Cassandra Eason's Complete Book Of Tarot: Everything you need to know including spreads, card analysis and divination (Paperback)
I am a huge fan of Cassandra Eason and although there are better tarot books out there when it comes to using tarot spreads i'm going to give this book 5 stars anyway because of the amount of different content in this book.
Personally (and a lot of tarot readers are of the same belief) i'm a great believer in throwing away the book when it comes to tarot, as tarot is channelled(the messages are not coming from you or the cards but something higher) when someone writes a book on tarot meanings they are only accurate to that person, although each card does have a basic meaning they change depending on the context of the reading and who you are reading for which if your a beginner you will find this in time, therefore, its not neccessary to learn the cards.
This book shows a few different spreads but if you're truly interested in learning about the spreads i'd suggest how to use tarot spreads by Sylvia Abraham but again you dont neccessarily need spreads if your just giving basic readings.
The great thing about this book is that it delves into taking the tarot further, looking into fortune telling, the zodiac, using crystals with tarot, psychic development, past life work, kabbalah, numerology and my favorite section tarot and magick! Theres really is a lot of great content here and if anything its a fantastic reference guide and definitely one you should have on your bookshelf!
