This review is from: YourShape: Fitness Evolved 2013 (Nintendo Wii U) (Video Game)
I was excited to find a fitness game for the wii U at such a reasonable cost that contained so many different types of exercise, and supposedly could be used by children, as I need to get fitter. However, I have just tried a couple of workouts, and I am quite disapointed. There is no description of the workouts before you start them, nor any kind of health advice, and when you do the work out, there are no suggestions of easier/harder ways to do an exercise. I set a programme of 2 sessions a week to de-stress, and the first programme chosen for me was Thai kick boxing, which is not really suitable for me, as I am unfit, and have back issues. Then a yoga session began, but the moves included bending your head to the floor, with no explanation of when to raise your head, so you had to try to watch the tv whilst making the moves, which was impossible. I would have put the game pad on the floor, but that was just diplaying a countdown. I also tried some zen meditation, which involved sitting cross legged and describing movements with the game pad. That was fantastic, and I synchronised the tv with the game pad, but half way through a move, the game pad became unscnchronised by about 180 degrees, and it was impossible to complete the move.
I'm really not sure I will get any use out of this game.
