Very large seed dispenser for a variety of birds. The larger birds (robins, dunnucks) can sit on the steel perches and feed with ease. The smaller birds (tits) can perch on the black steel rim as well. I have found the birds find it easy to feed on this compared to other 'peg' feeders. The seed is usually gone within a 5 to 7 day period. It is very large and subsequently heavier than 'normal' so needs a firm branch to hang off. I have mine hanging off a Gardman wall bracket. The large top keeps the seeds relativly dry. The seeds do get stuck together but the birds seem to sift them apart when feeding so the ground feeding species can feed off any fallen seeds.
Be aware this is quite a large feeder so be prepared to always need seed to fill it! It is easy to refill by simply untwisting the lid. The base also untwists so the main silo can be cleaned inside. The silo design and the opening at the bottom only mean that the seed once inside does not go mouldy. The spill tray has a hole to allow water to drain. In the cold snap recently I tied the suet balls to the perches and the birds happily fed off these too whilst sitting on the perch. I would suggest 1 to 2 of these for a mediium size garden.
