It's rare to find a book that looks this good, but is also well written and contains interesting recipes. Read it cover to cover in 2hrs, then ordered it for a friend as there's no way that I'm lending out my copy. If you enjoyed the Moro books, then this is for you. The preambles before each chapter give good context about aspects of Venetian bar culture and the recipes offer fresh ideas with a few challenging ingredients to source, but most are approachable. Assume that this book will win both critical awards and foodie devotees in 2012.
