This review is from: Artisan Vegan Cheese: From Everyday to Gourmet (Paperback)
Haven't tried any recipes yet, nor have I tried any vegan cheeses before so haven't a clue how the various cheeses will taste. I love dairy cheese but am thinking about going down the raw food path and thought this would be a good book to have. This is not a raw recipe book but has several basic recipes for different types/textures of vegan cheeses as well as rejuvelac and nut milk. Lots of meal recipes, both savoury and sweet, to try out. List of suppliers and glossary at back. Haven't seen any other book like this so would probably recommend for that reason alone.

I think you may have intended to rate this with more than one star judging by your comments?

Yeah seems like a miss-click to me. Perhaps Anne will see these comments :)

This reviewer obviously doesn't understand the reviewing process. Every review she's given has only one star even when she is highly recommending the product. I think she thinks 1 star is good and 5 stars is bad! I do wish Amazon would get rid of people like this - or at least contact them or something. Giving one star to really good products is stupid and misleading and thoroughly defeats the Amazon rating system's purpose, putting people off of great stuff. :-(

Unfair and irrelevant review... Stuff like this really hurts independent and small scale creatives (most of us). Usually people do try recipes in a recipe book before reviewing. As if that weren't bad enough, what's the point in commenting based on the fact that it doesn't meet your personal interest in raw food? I am interested in raw food as well, but if I were planning on going 100%, I wouldn't buy a book not advertised as a raw food book to meet that interest. Perhaps you have mistakenly given it one star, but this is still not fair or nice for the author, when at this level - and in such a specialist area - every review counts.

Unfair and misleading to give one star to a book when you admit you bought it for the wrong reason and haven't even tried any of the recipes.
