5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing..., 30 Jun. 2012

This review is from: Mortal Kombat - Game of The Year Edition (PS3) (Video Game)
I never played a Mortal Kombat game before and frankly never bothered because I prefer Namco's Tekken and Soul Calibur but I have to give credit where it's due. This game is complete (no Pun intended) even if you didn't buy the Komplete Edition of the game. Personally, I never even tried the new characters or costumes so I'm just reviewing the story mode, game play and graphics which are all superbly animated. Although not as fun as Tekken 6 (for me), I truly enjoyed the story mode and the amount of available options given to this game. The people who made this really surpassed every other fighting game out there for next generation consoles with this game, and for this I give them a 10/10.

I really believe they couldn't have done a better job, even if I'm not a Mortal Kombat fan. I'll soon try the new characters but 'Scorpion' is already my favourite. I have to stick to my allegiance and support Tekken an Namco over Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter etc. but I think that I am at least partly converted after Namco's poor job with Soul Calibur V.

Buy this game and Tekken 6. They are the best fighting games out there!

10/10.

10/10 but 4 stars?

10/10 because there is nothing more they could've done to make this a great game. I gave the game a 5/5 and 4/5 for fun because that is my personal and I emphasize personal opinion. I like Tekken better, but there is nothing more they could've done to make me like the Mortal Kombat franchise. I hope you understand what I'm saying. It's an incredible game! The 'fun' factor is really personal, what matters is the subjective score. ;)
