It is a sad fact for a PSB fan such as myself that this beautifully crafted masterpiece can exist in the same landscape mediocrity as 'bi-lingul' and 'nightlife'. There is a freshness and sophistication to this album which lies in stark contrast to the psudeo house of 'introspective' (though in itself an excellent album) and the now rather dated 'actually' Highlights of an album are always arbitrary, but there is a raw melanchonic beauty under-pinning all the songs here, best epitomised by the excellent 'the end of the world' and the touchingly sentimental 'being boring'. I first saw 'Behaviour' advertised on a billboard in Picadilly Circus Tube station. There was a strong breeze outside and the rain fell like feathers through the ageing roofway. Like the album, it was a moment of sheer poetry. A must for anyone who likes those quiet moments of retrospection on wind-swept clifftops.
