Worked straight out of the box...,
This review is from: Canon Pixma IX5000 InkJet A3+ Printer (Personal Computers)
I was very pleased with this printer.[...]
This machine worked straight out of the box. The only hiccup was having to download the Windows 64-bit drivers from the website, but I was anticipating that and had downloaded them in advance.
The print quality is excellent - the ability to produce A3 size photo prints to frame is why I bought this in the first place, and I have not been disappointed.
An excellent printer at a reasonable price.

For a printer such as this, comments on ink usage and replacement frequency would be extremely helpful. One reviewer of an Epson A3 printer has costed his A3 photos at £35 each, much the greater part of that cost being ink!

Although not this model, one of the other reviews for the IX4000 gives some indication of printing costs. Although not this model, this uses the same ink cartridges as the IX5000 so I *imagine" the ink usage would be similar. The costs are certainly less than £35 per! Hope this helps.
