This is not a review of the content of the book as I have only just received it (though I can say that it is, on first perusal, an attractively produced book). However, customers of Amazon.co.uk should beware about editions! I was sent the American edition which has oven temperatures in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius and weights in 'cups' and ounces instead of grams (ml are indicated though in brackets beside the oz for liquids). Courgettes are called Zucchini, Monterey Jack Cheddar cheese is listed in some ingredients lists etc.
There was no indication when I ordered this (the paperback version published in 2012) that it was an American edition. I note from looking at the the flyleaf of the 'Look Inside' scanned version that it was first published in Great Britain. Why then, have I received the American edition after ordering through Amazon.co.uk? I believe that my book came from Amazon's EU distribution centre but that makes even less sense as on the 'continent' they are even less likely to want a book with imperial measurements. Surely a big publisher like DK must have a UK version of such a bestselling book available.
There should be some CLEAR indication that this is an American edition that is being sold here. If I'd known it was I would probably not have bought it as it is largely a cookery book and also there may be differences in guidelines for baby weaning in the USA.
