Very disappointing book,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Alexis Gauthier: Vegetronic (Hardcover)
This is a very disappointing book that will in no way "change the way I am thinking about vegetables". The recipes are dumbed down and not very original, the pictures (often beautiful) show different and/or additional ingredients or techniques, (which for me is a cardinal sin for an illustrated cooking book), the recommended supplier list includes almost exclusively webshops that do not sell outside Japan (!), the calorie listed per recipe are completely of (180 cal / person for mashed potatoes containing 75 ml of olive oil (= 675 cal) + the potatoes per person!) and the repetitive rants against Alain Ducasse head chef are anything but interesting.
I am a very keen buyer of cooking books and I had great expectations but I feel cheated and will return the book.
