Customer Review

on 12 November 2013
The author really knows his stuff when it comes to the Beatles. I'm a huge fan of the Beatles and I learnt a lot I didn't know before. This book is in no way as smutty as it seems from the title. It doesn't go into too much detail about their sex lives and tells you want you need to know without invading privacy too much. You also get to learn a lot more about Brian Epstein, the group's manager as well as other rock stars like Mick Jagger, David Bowie and Eric Clapton. As well as looking at the sex lives of the Beatles the author also talks about sex in the 50s and 60s and how it changed and how attitudes towards it changed. He looks at everything from homosexuality to paedophilia, birth control to abortion and celebrity affairs. This is as much a book on sex in the 1960s as it is on the Beatles. Overall it's an interesting read for anyone interesting in sex, the sixties, the Beatles and any other well-known rock star of the era.
