What an excellent and very topical thriller novella - it's so well written and constructed that it's hard to believe it was written in the couple of weeks following the EU referendum. Joel Hames is an expert at portraying political and business skulduggery at its worst and the plot line of Brexecution was horribly plausible. What's been in the headlines over the last few weeks could well be the tip of the iceberg and we'd never know.... Hames paints his characters with broad brushstrokes, so they seem real and we are able to empathise with or hate them as appropriate - quite a feat in a short novella! And of course, the hallmark Hames humour is ever present. Best of all, my fave lawyer Sam Williams gets in on the action! All in all a gripping read and highly recommended.
