Turn Left is a very imaginative episode, full of the possibilities which make you realise how a tiny decision can change the course of your life, or indeed the universe. This shows off Donna's strength very well, again, along with both her loud and compassionate sides. Despite her exterior, she truly cares for those around her and finds it difficult to believe how special she truly is.
The Stolen Earth and Journey's End are 2 of my all-time favourite episodes, as it draws together characters from the new series and shows them fighting together to save the universe from the daleks. The stakes have never been higher and the Doctor's family has never been larger. Seeing characters meet after long times apart is great to see, as well as seeing characters meet for the first time, drawn together by the Doctor. The relationship between Jack and Mickey is great to see, and is a slightly humorous addition to the episodes. Sarah Jane's appearance is also a lovely addition; one of Doctor Who's most loved characters is always great to see back on screen. 2 of my favourite moments in the episodes are Martha's; her reaction to Rose, showing that she is not just a desperate girl with a crush and that she cares for the Doctor and just wants him to be happy. Also, the scene in the TARDIS at the end, where Martha smiles right at the camera gets me every time. Yes, it breaks the fourth wall in a way, but it also makes it seem as though you are there, a part of the family, joining in what I find to be the most magical moment of the new series.
Donna's departure is one of the most tragic endings to a character ever seen on the show, and the end to the storyline with Rose is bittersweet, in a way. She gets what she's always wanted the most, although it's not in the way she imagined it.
The DoctorDonna and human Doctor were imaginative and original additions, like nothing the show has ever had before. The daleks are as powerful and evil as ever, and make a formidable opponent.
This is definitely one of the highlights of the revived series and makes a great finish to a brilliant series of the show!
