I bought the book set some time ago, and read the first one 18months ago. It was ok but didn't inspire me to rush and read the next two books. However a recent holiday meant it was more practical to read paperbacks than on my iPad so I took the two with me. Book two was better than the first but the third, Quest for Honour was a great improvement and a great end to the trilogy. The pace races along, the attention to detail is brilliant and you really can picture the logistics needed to plan the war. This is a real page turner and the author's story telling skills create drama, suspense, and I highly recommend sticking with the first two books to get to this one.
