This book does need a rethink of the larder and fridge but then again isnt that the point? For those people complaining about equipment cost and resourcing ingredients You don't have to buy the blender or juicer they recommend! I imagine the ones they use are expensive as they use them constantly, if you have ever juiced or blended before you'll know that you get what you pay for, cheap blenders don't blend well and you end with lumps and cheap juicers are the same ,and also have small holes to feed fruit in( meaning extra chopping) which creates further hassle for an already messy and time consuming ( cleaning) activity.
This is packed with lovely recipes that once you get used to it are easy to make and its also a rare book with not a lot out there like it.
Unfortunately eating healthy isn't cheap. Sugar is cheap, refined salt is cheap. look at fast food places. They are cheap and there's a reason. But Im kind of guessing you want to eat healthy hence why youre looking at the book. To make something that is healthy and flavoursome does cost more sadly and often requires more effort. Its a shame but that's where we are at the moment. If you want a chocolate cake that looks like chocolate and tastes like chocolate but isn't 'actually' chocolate and is healthy AND tasty youre going to have to put some time and money into it Im afraid. Its a sad state of affairs and hopefully in time this will change when we all realise eating cheap refined products isn't the way to go and we collectively bring prices down through demand.
