I bought 2 of these for the picture lights on my landing, and they are the first LED lamps that I have used. They are solidly made (rigid plastic diffuser at the front, extruded aluminium heatsink at the rear), and I had no problems inserting them into the lamp holders. They provide a very even illumination (you cannot detect the individual LEDs) and the brightness is about the same as a conventional 60W filament lamp. I measured the power consumption at just under 5W, making them a very efficient and economical lamp. I have noticed a slight difference in the colour temperature of the 2 lamps, and both provide a slightly cool rather than 'warm white', but your eyes soon adjust.
I think the reference to 'Fluorescent Tube' in the product description is misleading. The standard 284mm strip light is a filament lamp. There are low energy versions available that use a fluorescent tube, but in my experience they do not last very long. This LED version look nicer, and should last a lot longer (hopefully!).
