When I chose this title, I was looking for a book that would appeal to the whole family. I was hoping to use it to play from both the piano and the guitar. The piano arrangements are pretty good, but due to some of the keys that pieces are in it is not ideal for a less experienced guitarist - to follow simple chord progressions you would be better off getting a book specifically for the guitar.
The real downer with this book, however, is that it is SO American. Which is fine, of course, if you are American. But if you're not many of the song choices are very frustrating: traditional songs in my house tend not to be Dixie and the Star Spangled Banner. There are some more general songs, but the overall bias is definitely to songs from America.
