I couldn't make up my mind whether to award this fim 2 or 3 stars. I didn't mind it that much, but think that it is far from great and would not want to watch it again. For me, the Ralph Fiennes character is a weak element in the film. The person he plays is an over the top, UNfunny clown with a blatant rip-off of the Ben Kingsley character in 'Sexy Beast' way of talking. Also, the dialogues between some of the other characters in the film certainly wear more than just a bit thin in parts. Particularly bad are the dialogues involving the racist dwarf. It's as if these were written by a very amateurish teenaged wannabe script writer. Also, the violence in the film is formulaic and unoriginal. So why didn't I entirely hate the film? I thought that the two main protagonists were pretty strong and believable. The cinematography is good. Some of the dialogues and situations caused me to laugh out loud, so I can't say the film is entirely unfunny. The two Belgian chicks, i.e.the pregant one and the one who the Colin Farrel character dates, are pretty nice, especially the latter.
