Customer Review

on 25 November 2009
OK, the actual recipes sound yummy but what a disappointing book. Often for such baking you need a photo so you can conjure up the image in your head as to how it is meant to turn out. There are a handful of colour photos in this book and even though I have the hard cover, it is a flimsy book. I would recommend instead the Humminbgird Bakery book (Magnolia's London equivalent) which has similar recipes but a photo for each one. It's a lovely book to sit and have a flick through while you decide what to make. Sorry Magnolia, you should have put much more effort into your cookbook. Why go to all that hard work of publishing your recipes in such a disappointing book. Half the fun is meant to be being tempted by the pictures to help with your decision and give you a visual about how its meant to trun out. Thumbs down I am afraid.
