Customer Review

on 6 March 2013
A interesting take on the holocaust.Very interesting characters, alongside the usual Jewish victims,we have a Jewish policeman who has to select 5 people a day for deportation.A German corporal with a conscience and a Jewish prostitute. They're are no real heroes in this book and I found the book a little heavy going at times.I had to use the dictionary a few times, which I found annoying. The book just had enough moments to keep my attention though and had a great,if not happy ending. This book left me feeling a bit depressed, but maybe a book about Warsaw in the war should.
