This, along with the Dennett book 'Breaking the Spell', represents the peak of the recent plethora of atheist books. This is hardly suprising, as Hitchens is a very fine writer, dismissing key arguments for theism with a light, rapier wit, but backing it up with deep knowledge and profound logic.
The chapter on how Islam is a second hand religion (in more ways than one) is particularly enjoyable.
Read this; read the Dennett book. you will not be disappointed.
