4.0 out of 5 stars Great for your kids (if they're over 4ft tall), 3 Dec. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Kinectimals - Kinect Compatible (Xbox 360 ) (Video Game)
Kinect is an interesting piece of equipment and though Dance Central has been wowing people and has already been described as Kinect's killer app, Kinectimals is definitely a better technical demonstration of what's possible with Kinect. Looking after a set of adorable jungle cats, you might think this is strictly kiddified gaming but it's very good, graphically sumptuous and the minigames are genuinely fun to play (particularly the Radio Controlled Car races - that show you can do a decent set of driving controls on Kinect if you try).

Frontier Developments really deserve plenty of kudos for showing Britsoft developers have still got the knack of producing really interesting games experiences.

Your kids will love it but make sure Kinect can see them OK as my 3 year old daughter struggles as she's a little bit too short for Kinect to work properly for her, but nonetheless she absolutely loves the adorable furry tigers, leopards and cheetahs in this game

Mr Vee says:
I've put the sensor at about 6 feet from the floor (on top of the TV) and it has no trouble seeing my 4 year old. From what I recall it recommends that you install it at either 2 feet or 6 feet although anything inbetween is supposed to be OK but I am sure it recommends installation at the extremes.
