No, No, No, No!!!!,
This review is from: Shatter Me (Paperback)
Before I started writing this review I wrote down everything I like about this book and everything that made me want to throw it all the wall.
I'll start with the things I like shall I....
The only thing I liked in this whole book was the bloody bad guy. What does that tell you?
Let's start with the language, it was just utterly, utterly, utterly stupid! None of it made sense it was full of stupid metaphors that you could tell where supposed to be beautiful and meaningful instead they ended up sounding a three year old talking a load of gibberish.
The writing wasn't actually that much of a big deal for me at first, I just assumed it sounded crazy because Juliette had been locked up for ages so had actually turned crazy. We soon learn however that her captivity has had hardly any effect on her psyche what so ever.
The romance in this book was just ridiculous. What is it with the girls in books these days just throwing themselves at any decent looking boy who shows them the tiniest bit of attention. There was absolutely no build up to their romance at all, sure they knew each other when they where younger but seen as they'd had hardly any real conversations and he'd in fact lied to her and knew who she was all along. No they're no problem, we can touch so it must be love.
After reading this book I had far too many questions that I didn't even care if I got answers to.
