A hilarious read,
This review is from: Mennonite in a Little Black Dress: A Memoir of Going Home (Kindle Edition)
Rhoda Janzen hits a serious crossroads in her life when she is involved in a serious car accident and her husband leaves her for a man he met on gay.com. Janzen's memoir is written in a relatable, chatty style, with plenty of amusing anecdotes from her Mennonite upbringing. Her interactions with her relations provide excellent comic fodder, and the appendix at the back of the book is really handy for those not familiar with the Mennonite history (i.e. - me!), along with recipes and photographs. A truly moving, optimistic read.
