This review is from: Places of Power: Measuring the Secret Energy of Ancient Sites (Paperback)
This was a brilliant book - clearly written, well-researched and thoughtful. I've read a few of Devereux's books and each one has made me look at sacred sites in a very different (and far more informed)way. The first section outlines the context - the search for sources of power in these places; Devereux continues by looking at specific sites, particularly the Rollright Stones (the Dragon Project), investigating the reasons for their construction in a logical and interesting way, which goes beyond the simplistic religious explanations. He emphasises that many of these places are in areas of high natural radio-activity. His writing about Cornish sites inspired me to go there and look for myself.
