Best GTA on portable consoles,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars (PSP) (Video Game)
I'm a huge GTA fan...
I've played all of the games since the 1st on my old 86x486 under MS-DOS. I love the 3D versions (GTA3 to 4) but i missed the old school type and when i've read about this one i just know i had to have it.
So i bought it for NDS and is great but i grew tired of the touch screen parts so since i also have a PSP 3004 model i bought this (after the price drop).
And i'm very happy with this version!
I like the NDS version, its great (especially the bottom screen use as PDA an Map) but the PSP is more fluid and does not have does touch screen mandatory parts like when you enter a car and have to hot wired it (it has this parts but with normal button control that made them more easy and fast).
The graphics are better and way more fluid (no frame rate issues like in the NDS). In the down side the menus take more to load (UMD have to be read) and also saving a game, but not that much to be a problem. (although i've read that the 1000 series PSP takes a lot longer to read the UMD).
If you are like me and have the 2 consoles, go for the PSP version, unless you really like touch screen parts on the games. Whatever version you buy you certainly will have a good time with this game (if you like GTA of course)
