Unfortunately Worthless for Walkers,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Garmin Forerunner 110 GPS Running Watch - Grey (discontinued by manufacturer) (Electronics)
I agree with many of the good points raised in other reviews but in practice this device has one flaw which essentially makes unfit for purpose for anyone intending to use it for walking in the UK. It is not waterproof.
I'm not talking about swimming or diviing, I'm talking about wearing under a cagoule while walking in rain. It fills up with condensation. After twonor three such occasions it just died and woukd not recharge.
Useless in UK weather.

Dr. M. J. Pearson says:
the product is supposed to be IPX7 rated. This means you splashproof, rain proof condensation proof and can stand a 30 minute dunking in 1m of water (the test criteria for IP7). So your unit failing with very mild exposure to water is almost certainly a manufacturing fault, or damage sustained to the unit. If it was within its one year warranty Garmin would have to have replaced it... did you try contacting them about this>>
