Customer Review

24 April 2013
The final part of the Midnight Charter trilogy (although there are one or two hints that further sequels may not be entirely ruled out!). David Whitley's thought-provoking, intelligent and spellbinding story comes to an end (for now) as his Protagonist and Antagonist make their final judgement about how their people should live, having experienced the extremes of capitalism, socialism and a knowledge-based economy. A beautifully written finale to a brilliant epic which should appeal to readers of Philip Pullman and Patrick Ness. Whitley's work deserves to be much better known; I am convinced that readers (whether they be of the target age, Young Adult, or adults of any age) will be utterly enthralled by, and lost in, Whitley's compelling world.
