This review is from: Dogma (Paperback)
This book made me aware of my own lack of understanding of most things because, the (what might be thought of as)'clever' academic characters in it,(one facing redundancy)continually fail in thier attempts to do anything 'constructive' - due to their stupidity. The book also seems to undermine any notions of a 'good book' by having a minimal plot, little description of the environments included in it, no description of the characters (except to say the writer of the book wears a flowery shirt and is over weight) and little explanation of the ideas mentioned in it. The more academic character (just called a minimal W) rather than admitting his own failings like a 'good self-aware' humanist, continually blames the writers foolishness for holding him back. Giving this book five stars seems to undermine everything that the writer maybe trying get at through the Dogma.
