Customer Review

Please - the very idea that someone would choose to dress up in such a ludicrous costume I mean what is he meant to be - some sort of butler! How desperate for work must Michael Caine be, he has truly fallen from grace since his heady days of Get Carter and his excellent portrayal of the character Hoagie Newcombe in Jaws the Revenge.

As for the chap in the cloak, he verges on the ridiculous and that's just his accent.

In short teenage moody misery chops goes gallivanting round goodness knows only where on his father's dime before returning with his tail between his legs expecting to take a reasonable job at the family firm. Unfairly, in my opinion he is offered a junior role in the post room or something where somehow in spite of his aloofness he manages to strike up a lovely warm friendship with a gracious janitor played excellently by Morgan Freeman. Just as I was settling in to see how their relationship would grow all hell breaks loose with the film taking a turn for the worse with the introduction of some real unsavory types headed by this stinky Goth in a mask and fancy-dress cat ears.

I have very fond memories of The Batman played superbly by Adam West as a lovely wholesome Gent who could scale buildings with aplomb. None of this drivel is true to the original. Don't even get me started on the whereabouts of Robin, Buster Keaton and the Bathound.

Do you yourself a favour watch something else like Emmerdale instead.
