Not for me,
This review is from: Tanita BC543 Body Composition Monitor Scale (Personal Care)
I purchased this as part of an overall fitness campaign. I have beeen generally into fitness most of my life and body fat calculations are notoriously difficult to do accurately yourself so I thought that when my old Accumeasure ( pinch test calipers) finally gave out I would buy this supposed state of the art scale.
My problem with them is the wide variety of readings I get. The recommendation is that you weigh yourself before an evening meal and this seems to produces a body fat reading that varies by 2%, if you weigh in the morning you will find you are maybe up 4% on the figure you got the night before even though your weight is less. Basically I don't have a lot of faith in the accuracy of the figures because of the wide range across which they seem to fluctuate. Fat % that is, not the weight. I have gone back to the calipers which work very well and consistently. An expensive way to weigh yourself in my view and there are better ways to measure body fat. If anyone can advise how to do this better let me know.
