Praise be for Rose Elliot,
This review is from: The Vegetarian Low-Carb Diet Cookbook: The fast, no-hunger weightloss cookbook for vegetarians (Paperback)
If, like me, low carb suits you really well up to the point that you run out of things (ie without meat and fish) that you would fancy eating in a traditional low carb diet, then this is the book for you. With 'Atkins' and the 'Idiot proof diet' etc I only wanted to eat about a quarter of the recipes and after a couple of weeks the tedium (and lapses)set in
With this book, there are lovely, edible things on every page. Including breakfasts that are more like the traditional cereal for when you can't face another cooked breakfast-wonderful!
The only downside was trying to find Roses recommended sweetener (Stevia), but I got there in the end and while I was waiting for my delivery I tried some of the recipes without any sweetener at all and they worked fine, paticularly the Granola and Brownies.
I hope she writes another one!
