2.0 out of 5 stars bad image, 9 Oct. 2011
This review is from: Jewels - George Balanchine (Mariinsky Ballet and Orchestra/Gergiev) Plus bonus feature [Blu-ray] [2011] [Region Free] (Blu-ray)
This is indeed a beautiful ballet. However the quality of the dvd is very poor. When the movements are slow, there is no problem, but of course there are fast movements as well and then the image becomes blurry. So I do not recommend this dvd for that reason. It is indeed a shame, because, as I said, the quality of the performance is very well indeed.

I think "Jan" has aimed his opinion to the wrong disc. He is obviously writing about a dvd, but the has placed the review under a headline for the Blu-ray version. Also, I think he is referring to the other version of "Jewels" from Paris. That one had blurry images in fast movement, not this Russian production. Ooops! Better be more careful next time "Jan"!
