The X-Fi was a doddle to install on Win7 64bit. Just followed the instructions in it was up and running all in about 10 mins. The annoying thing was when the automatic updates started it took nearly 2 hours to download them from creative(and I have a 50mb connection). After all that, the updates installed and away it went The sound from my laptop was transformed in to excellent audio quality going through a set of Creative gigaworks G550w speakers. This was until the speakers cut out. At this point i was calling the X-Fi all the names under the sun but after calming down and trying it on a mates PC and speakers realised that the fault was with my G550w kit.( Anyone with these speakers take note) This was reinforced on several forums on the web so the XFI was not to blame. After testing the XFI the sound quality is excellent and crisp. 5.1 surround is easy to set up and the packaged software is easy to use. The product is excellent but I wouldnt count too much on Creative support for any after care or plan on doing anything for at least 2 hours when updating the software after first setting up.
