Some average recipes and some more average recipes, the content of the book is a little lack lustre. This in a way sounds a bit unfair as does writing this as I'm certain alot of hard work went into this. For me though having well over a hundred cookery books I need to be wowed with something exciting or really informative.
The book itself doesn't seem to be targetted directly at a genre of people but more so a collection of random recipes that have been cobbled together, i.e. rick steins books are either fish based on regions or food from a certain country, sophie grigson with her spice book is on the whole an interesting read through different uses of spice... This book? Perhaps it's just me that doesn't get it - sorry Simon.
The photography in hte book is not bad yet not captivating or fresh either. I'd like to pick out a couple of recipes that I can are worth giving a go but haven't yet got to that stage - I'd normally get a new recipe book and put page markers onthe recipes I with to try out, having gone through it twice I am yet to put a single page marker in and this has only previously happened with one other book.
