Customer Review

on 6 November 2013
I read much of this on the Kindle app on my mobile phone while at the hospital with my wife waiting for her to give birth to my son, so I will always have fond memories of this book.
That said, it's a fine read in its own right - the main character is nicely fleshed out and his wife has an interesting back-story.
The main problem with the story is the fact the characters are ALL pretty much vicious murdering animals, even the "good" guys. But this is how it was back then and Kane does a fine job of making the characters likeable despite their deficiencies.
I enjoyed the Forgotten Legion series and I'm now looking forward to reading the rest of this one.
