4.0 out of 5 stars Very good - innovative product, 13 May 2012

This review is from: Sony LiveView Touch Generation 2 SmartWatch Android Smartphone Accessory (Electronics)
I have waited for this product since it was announced.
Overall it works very well and as advertised.

Pros:
The battery life is very good - if you turn off at nights it can last up to a week.
It is very well designed and doesn't look cheap - a lot of people use to tell me nice watch (even without knowing what it was about)
Call vibration is strong and fast - almost instantly when the phone rings the watch vibrates - no delay.
Bluetooth connection is good but not perfect - sometimes might lose connection but it reconnects automatically.
Supplied bracelet is good enough
Works very well with endomondo (one of the reasons I bought it) along at the same time with Bluetooth heart rate belt and Bluetooth headset for music and audio feedback - ok

Cons:
Daylight visibility is poor - especially in sunlight. Practically it is unreadable with sunglasses on - It is best during afternoons - night
The propriatory charging cable is not very well designed - when plugged in to charge it has to be kept in place with the spring mechanism of the back side - well 1 out of 2 this fails and I have to make sure it keeps charging by puting it in a special position ,or applying some weight on it

Overall
A very nice product that comes in handy in situations like driving or running but the biggest problem is daylight visibility. Would recommend though.

Polaroid sunglasses will blank LCDs but this is LED so should be OK
One could look past the edge of the sunglasses, or even remove them ?
Realistically, anything that competes with the sun needs a huge battery.

Is it water resistant?

Frogus says:
I would say it is waterproof. It has happened to me using it with my motorcycle under moderate-heavy rain without problems afterwards (meaning it got quite a bit of rain).
But it is not water resistant - so can not be submerged in water, used when swimming or bath or when washing hands.
