You cannot help but enjoy Katherine John. From her first novel, I have followed her difficult progress and her enterprising solution to her initial novel being rejected. Her Welsh/Prussian uprbinging certainly stood her in good stead and, as I am Welsh, I am proud to recognise her as the top selling Welsh Crime Fiction novelist. She set up her own publishing company with her husband and they have gone from strength to strength, helping other struggling authors who need to be read.
This particular book is another one in the series of Detective Trevor Joseph. In this novel, he and his team are called in to help thelocal police. Faced with no evidence, after fires seemingly destroyed everything he had to work with, his task is not an easy one. The mystery of why someone would want to kill a local popular family and who had the knowledge of police procedure and evidential cover-up is confounding. Besides being incredibly well written, it is an excellent crime read. If you have not read any of Katherine John before, this is your chance to enjoy a first class mystery novel. I had to read it in one sitting and it was well worth the sleepless hours. The Destruction of Evidence (Trevor Joseph Detective Series)
