Having attended a talk by Dr Liz Miller in 2008 I was looking forward to this publication. It is everything I hoped for and more. Mood mapping is easy to do and as a facilitator of mental health recovery courses I find students can pick up how to mood map in less than 5 minutes. The book contains far more than mood mapping - most of the book is dedicated to how we can gain more control over our moods. What makes this book different from others that might try to help us be happier? I guess the main thing is that Dr Miller is able to write from her own experience as well as from her medical background. It is the sort of book that only someone who has had bipolar disorder could write. On a personal note, I have on the whole been less anxious/tired and more calm since reading and working on the exercises in the book. Roger Smith Author of Stop Paddling/Start Sailing
