Simply one of my favourite cook books,
This review is from: The Cooking of Southern India (Sainsbury cookbook) (Paperback)
In the eighties, Sainsbury's commissioned a series of recipe books, many of them from big names. Most of them were good and this one is an absolute gem. This is my favourite Indian cookbook, full of stunning recipes I have never seen elsewhere, all authentic, with personal commentary from Mrs Fernandez and varying from the very simple to the marvellously complex. This is real Indian cooking.

Mr. Andrew J. Jones says:
Totally agree the birani recipe is outstanding. This is the second time I have bought the book as the first one covered in turmeric and ghee was lent to a friend who has. Or returned it.
