I love collecting prop replicas aka TOYS and playing with them, yes a grown man who still plays with DW toys. And this is a pretty nifty toy, it is pretty much just a voice recorder and that's pretty much it. The picture you see advertised is fairly different from the actual product, the real product has more black to make it look more worn out which to be honest is even better. For a little fun this is a great toy.
My only complaint however is unlike all other Doctor Who toys, this one DOESN'T come with batteries, I thought it strange not seeing them stood next to the toy as per usual so assumed they must already be inside for once. Then when it refused to make sounds I assumed it was broken and worried I may have to send it back, come to reading instructions it says in small print on the back "batteries not included". Fair enough majority of toys come without batteries but I would've thought from a brand that always provides batteries even if they're not already in the toy you could keep up with that standard.
