Customer Review

TOP 50 REVIEWERVINE VOICEon 27 June 2014
I read the first book Alice in Zombieland (The White Rabbit Chronicles - Book 1) back in September 2012 and although I had this book on pre-order for last year from September 2012, Amazon let me down last minute and cancelled the order. Then for some strange reason nowhere seemed to be able to get this book in the UK and it's only been in the last month or so that Amazon have started to sell it again. Even though it had been over a year and a half since I read the first book I have picked up on this one straight away and with minimal memory problems despite me worrying that I would struggle and would need to re-read the first book again.

The book picks up straight after the first with Alice and her Nan having moved in with Reeve and her Dad Mr Ankh following the destruction of their home and death of her Grandad. Alice has settled into life as a slayer and everything seems to be going okay with her and Cole until the new girl Veronica turns up and diverts his attention as it turns out Ronnie is an ex of Coles. Although Alice is not without her distraction in the form of Gavin and when they start having visions together and Cole and her visions appear to have ended, fingers all start to point that maybe Cole should be with Veronica and Alice should be with Gavin. The Zombies aren't letting up either and when it transpires that Alice has a Zombie aka Zombie Alice interfering in all things Alice and trying to hurt her friends and family, Alice's life takes on a new twist. So can Alice defeat ZA (Zombie Alice)? Is there any hope for Cole and Alice? And just what is Anima/The Hazmats up to with their new leader Mr K?..................

I have literally devoured this book within 24 hours and I am really quite surprised at that considering the first book wasn't my favourite start to a series. I am definitely looking forward to the new book due out at the end of September The Queen of Zombie Hearts (White Rabbit Chronicles) and shall keep my fingers crossed there is no repeat of last minute book cancellations and a further 6 month delay.....
