Have used an HTC HD2 for a while, running Windows Mobile, as I need to see and edit a number of Word documents and Excel spreadsheets. In addition the sync features for Microsoft Office (diary and contacts) worked really well, quickly and update all the time. All was well (albeit a bit clunky) until the socket on the phone for the USB sync cable began to deteriorate. I therefore was persuaded to buy a Samsung Galaxy S3 running Android (via Amazon), having been assured that there were apps (KIES - Samsungs own) to allow synching with MS Office, and others to allow editing of Word and Excel. DO NOT BE FOOLED as I was. KIES is a disaster and destroyed data, worked intermittently and then finally froze my computer. Hours spent recovering. Tried alterative synching system (Dejavue Office and Companionlink 5) which needs complex set up and uses its own diary and contact list (which then doesnt interface usefully with the other Galaxy programs). The attempts to use apps to modify Word and Excel documents was equally disastrous and damaged files too. On the other hand it does what it does on its own extremely well and, if it were not for the issues working with Microsoft and Windows programs, it would get 5 stars. However, because it claims, but fails, to work with Outlook, and wasted many hours of my time, it gets 1 star. Therefore DO NOT BUY if you want to work with Microsoft products.
