Best hydration belt I've tried so far,
This review is from: Nathan Speed 2 hydration water bottle waist belt - 600ml (Misc.)
When I spotted this I thought, great finally a water bottle belt that I can wear on the hip (as is most natural for men). I've never liked the waist water bottle belts where the bottle bounces up and down on your back, which is why I used to wear my old Hilly belt on the hip to the side instead. Wearing a water bottle belt on the waist isn't that stable or flattering unless you've a very toned belly, it can also interfere with breathing too.
When out running the Nathan belt works well, though when the water bottles are full you need to have the belt pretty tight on to reduce bounce and the chances of it slipping. I found it much more comfortable than my previous water bottle belts.
The only real problems I've found with it is the position of the bottles, which although out of the way of the swing of your arms, they are in the way when you use trail gym equipment such as sit-up benches (which I do and why I've docked a star). This just means that you either need to take the belt off while you use the equipment or swing it round to the side.
Follow up: Still using the belt for several runs a week and I still really like it, though (as several others have found) the belt does some times have a problem with the flasks popping out. I lost one flask somewhere, so I had to buy some replacements, but they were pretty inexpensive and came in a triple pack. If the flasks get wet then the friction between the flask and holster is reduced, increasing the chance that a flask will pop out, as does bounce if the belt is loose.
