Excellent for the money,
This review is from: Philips Shaver Series 3000 with Lift and Cut Blades PT720/17 (Personal Care)
I have had several Phillips Shavers over the past 20 years (after getting fed up with constantly changing the damaged foils on other style shavers), mostly I've purchased the trendy wet and dry ones that start at around £100 (I even bought one of the really expensive ones that automatically pump gel onto your face whilst shaving). I've always liked the shave I get from phillips but of course nothing lasts forever.. 2 years ago when my ultra expensive shaver went wrong I decided I couldn't really afford another expensive one so I opted for this budget model. Well I must say that i've been very impressed so far. OK, it is a bit bulkier in the hand than the expensive slim ones but the shave is equally as good. I can get about 15-20 proper shaves out of a charge and this has the added bonus of working directly on mains power so no waiting for a charge if it suddenly dies. I have also used this shaver very regularly in the shower (although it is not supposed to be wet and dry) and it gives a great wet shave and in two years it has tolerated the water very well. Obviously someone else may find that theirs goes wrong first time they use it wet but mine has been brilliant and I will certainly be buying another one of these when this current one finally packs in. It is worth noting that it does not have a sideburn trimmer. I don't think an electric shave will ever be as good as a wet shave but I can't fault this for the price. Decent shave for a low price.
