My sort of bag,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Kipling Gabbie, Women's Shoulder Bag (Luggage)
I love Kipling bags and have very many. I like cross body bags with long straps and without grab handles (which I find just get in the way and do nothing for the look of the bag). I like ALL the zips to be sewn in. I like all the exterior pockets to be zipped (no velcro or just open). I like a good choice of colours. I like a bag big enough to take EVERYTHING and still have room to take small impulse purchases. I like a zipped side pocket inside the main compartment of the bag with drop down pockets for pens, mobile phone, etc., and the bag must have a key fob. The Gabbie does it all. I chose the Blossom colour and it is a really cheerful, vivid orange (I've never seen blossom this colour). The bag is big, but not bulky. If you're looking for something dainty, then this is not for you, but, if you're looking for a real work-horse of a bag, choose the Gabbie.

Mrs. J. Davies says:
I agree entirely with your review, as another owner of many Kipling bags I feel exactly the same about the grab handles, I never carry a bag on my arm always shoulder or cross body, and I do like zips for security. The blossom looks lovely, I think I shall have to have one.

I also have this bag and it is amazing how much 'stuff' I can fit into it.

May I ask if the size is comparable to the Defea? Thank you!

Can you tell me how long is the strap. I often find the straps not long enough as I am over weight and I need it longer than normal people to go across my body. Thanks.

Sorry to be so long in replying. I, too, am a large lady (by several stone!!!!) and I find the strap more than long enough. As rough guide, the strap in approximately 47 inches long with a one inch fastener at either end. I hope that helps. (I have bought four more in different colours since writing my review.)

I'm afraid that I can't comment as I don't have a Defea.

No problem, my sister just bought one, I'd say they're about the same but more pockets/storage on the Defea. =)
