5.0 out of 5 stars A film portrait of Beatle John Lennon, 1 Mar. 2010
This review is from: John Lennon - Rare And Unseen [DVD] [2009] (DVD)
John Lennon Rare and Unseen is part of a collection of Dvd's released by Weinerworld which also include releases featuring The Rolling Stones & Cliff Richard.

The 75 minute documentary, John Lennon Rare and Unseen, A Film Portrait contains rare clips from the ATV television programme Man of The Decade with host Desmond Morris. Aired once on the 30th December 1969 it features John & Yoko interviewed walking through the grounds of Tittenhurst Park.

The dvd also features clips from Weekend World, thought wiped & unseen outside of the U.K and also their first appearance on the David Frost Show from 1968.

These fascinating clips are interwoven with interviews featuring Phil Collins (I don't think I'd like him), Quarryman Colin Hanton (I never saw him in a scrap, just a few scrapes) & Tony Barrow (John was the last Beatle I got to know, until we both got drunk).

So what else do you get?

Well there's plenty of Beatles interviews including the Fab four's arrival back in Liverpool after conquering the USA in 1964. Extensive coverage of the Beatles American 'Jesus' tour, also the Manilla, Phillipines debacle where the Beatles feared for their lives in 1966.

So, John Lennon Rare and Unseen - A Film Portrait takes you through the lennon years with plenty of Beatles footage to enjoy to boot and we all know that rare, unseen or even seen, John & the Beatles are always a delight to watch
